Newquay to Rock

Weather today: Extremely windy. Hail showers. Bright spells. Cold

Daily Miles Covered: 14.2

Total Miles Covered: 78.4

Things of Interest: Crashing waves battering high dramatic rocks!

Personal Comments: Extremely windy today - had to grab Frank before he was blown 400 ft. over the cliffs! Passed spectacular coast lines including Bedruthin Steps, near Mawgan Porth. Met a charming Cornish gent called Basil Worden who willing donated to our charity as soon as we mentioned the reason for our long walk.
Off to Trevelvar tonight to stay with Andrew's fellow farming friend - never anything dull where Andrew is involved!

HiPhilip.
Not good weather for a tent so glad you' ve got a warm bed for the night. It sounds as if your having an interesting time so far and I'm sure there will be many more adventures, lots more pasties and real ale to come.

Not a bad distance for such crap weather. Glad Phil has good reactions. Graham says bring him back a pastie, on second thoughts don't, he's on a diet.
Graham had a good day at Aintree on Friday so his donations gone up a bit.

Hello!

Don't envy you being out there today. We only walked to Hampstead Heath & that was cold enough! At least you've got a bed again tonight & hopefully a few beers to keep you going. Wil email you soon to arrange meeting up to join you & lend a bit of a moral support....and maybe a few more beers. Until then enjoy the pasties and 'Pob Lwc' (Good Luck)

Hi Boys
Glad to see that Andrew has put the kettle on and obviously trying hard to find alterntive venues to sleep at! What's this I read - Andrew walked 4 miles and then caught the bus back...can't tell any porkies on this long walk!
Keep warm all of you..and Andrew keep the teapot warm! Love Michelle
